The TRA National Championships is the premier event of the yearly calendar. Traditionally held over Easter, it is run in conjunction with the host state.

The 2023 TRA National Championships was hosted by the WA Smallbore Rifle Association Inc.
2024
The 2024 TRA National Championships have been awarded to Queensland Target Sports.
