Libby Kosmala inducted into hall of fame

Twelve-time Paralympian in three different sports, Libby Kosmala was inducted into the South Australian Hall of Fame last Friday night.

Libby has competed in many sports including foil fencing, wheelchair racing, field events, archery and swimming. She saw the light and switched to Target Rifle Shooting early in her career.

Among her many other achievements, she set a World record at the 1994 World Championships in Austria in the Air Rifle Prone event. She has won 9 Gold and 3 Silver Paralympic medals during her career as well as multiple World Cup and World Championships medals.

She dominated Paralympic rifle shooting in Australia for most of her career which has spanned nearly 50 years. As a shooter she is a phenomenon and has now switched her energy to assisting others through coaching.

Here she is at the dinner and induction celebration held in the Magarey room at Adelaide Oval on 22nd November 2019.
