CLUB INSTRUCTOR

In an ideal world, half of the members in all the clubs of Australia would be trained Club Instructors – this is a simple, one day practical workshop to provide the basics of being able to assist a visitor or new member to the club, with the catchphrase “get them safe, get them shooting!”

THIS COURSE IS A ONE DAY PRACTICAL WORKSHOP IN YOUR STATE

CLUB COACH COURSE

The course is comprised of two parts: Online work and practical workshop.

TRA is very pleased to be now able to offer an online component as part of the Club Coach learning. This consists of a number of modules with Workbook Tasks, and would be completed at home in the participant’s own time prior to the week-end workshop.

The practical workshop conducted after the completion of the online modules work, takes the experienced shooter on the path to becoming a coach, with skills such as communication, coach planning, best practice in technical skills and more.  The coach must demonstrate active, practical work as a coach prior to accreditation being confirmed.

The Club Coach Course is accredited by TRA with the names and details being noted by Shooting Australia.

The course is comprised of two parts: Online modules and Workshop.
The online component considers a number of the modules which must be completed in the participant’s own time prior to the week-end workshop.

It’s a packed two day workshop that takes the Club Coach further down the path to becoming a better coach, with practical skills such as mental training, coach planning, skills correction, electronic trainers and more.  The coach must demonstrate active, practical work as a coach prior to accreditation

This course is not teaching “how to shoot” but how to coach at a higher level, and a process of suitability pre-screening will be applied to applicants.

The Competition Coach Course is accredited by TRA with the names and details being noted by Shooting Australia.

  • This takes Coach Education to a higher level, and involves applicants being able to demonstrate further study at a tertiary, or external level ie the ISSF Coach course.
  • The course is more research based, over conventional classroom systems
  • This syllabus has yet to be published – hopefully later in 2021.
  • The Advanced Coach level will be accredited by SA

There are currently no resources yet published for this level of coach education.
